Yes, even I have been \u201cblinded by love\u201d, lol. Don\u2019t lie, we all have been, at least a little, at least once. I guess you really never can know for sure, but there are a few things that may help you sort out some of the crap we all too often put up with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s start with jealousy. A little jealousy is OK. A little is expected, even cute. But if your guy flips out or makes a comment every time you talk to another guy? Gives you the third degree? Asks you why you have so many guy friends? No. We don\u2019t like insecure guys. It\u2019s a pain in the butt. It\u2019s not attractive. If you don\u2019t trust us, well, bye then! It\u2019s a huge turn-off. Do you like the third degree every time you talk to a girl? Of course not. There\u2019s a fine line though, girls. If you\u2019re out with your guy and you suddenly run over and start talking to some random guy and don\u2019t even introduce them or acknowledge your guy\u2019s presence, um, be prepared for, at the very least, a little ass-chewing. You deserve it. Apologize immediately. You\u2019re definitely wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And girls, this goes both ways. Just because he\u2019s talking to a female, doesn\u2019t mean he\u2019s sleeping with her, or wants to. Jealousy is reeeeally ugly on girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, how do we offset the negativity of jealousy and insecurity? Well, confidence, of course. Guys find confident girls sexy, well, normal guys do anyway. I agree with that. It is sexy. BUT, that doesn\u2019t mean we have to buy into becoming women with balls that only need their men in bed. No, no, no, no, no. That\u2019s ridiculous and kind of creepy! I must be old-fashioned. I\u2019m OK with that. It\u2019s extremely important to be a confident woman. It\u2019s not always super easy to be confident 24\/7 in every area, but absolutely strive for it. You should never let your guy walk all over you (even though, too often, we do). Being confident though, doesn\u2019t mean that we still shouldn\u2019t be treated like a woman (this is where the old-fashioned part is coming in). There are certain things guys should instinctively, always, always do for their girls. At least, if they really care about you, they should, and will. If they aren\u2019t doing them and they\u2019re not sincere, you deserve someone better. Don\u2019t wait for him to change. He won\u2019t. Not all guys are jerks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, here\u2019s a few that I think are the most important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. First and foremost \u2013 your guy should like you for who you are, not what you are.
2. We know our guy thinks we\u2019re pretty, but it\u2019s nice to hear sometimes.
3. He should still think you\u2019re sexy in an old t-shirt and jeans. Full make-up and a sexy dress shouldn\u2019t be your uniform. We like to wear hats too.
4. Let him open the door for you.
5. Say \u201cthank you\u201d when he pays for dinner.
6. Yes, some forms of P.D.A. are inappropriate, but an occasional kiss, holding our hand, a hug for no reason \u2013 that\u2019s just sweet, loving and affectionate. We are your girl, right?
7. Just because\u2026he stops what he\u2019s doing, gives you a little kiss, and tells you he loves you \u2013 and he means it.
8. Forgiveness is a two-way street.
9. \u2026so is unconditional love.
10. Lie in the grass, look at the stars. Sometimes it\u2019s nice NOT to have sex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guys, every time we date a jerk, we get wiser and we take mental notes. I don\u2019t know what\u2019s gotten into me lately; I\u2019m being so nice to you boys!Wow, \u201cold-fashioned\u201d got me thinking, lol, some of you will remember this\u2026name that band\u2026\u201dDon\u2019t Know What You\u2019ve Got (Till it\u2019s Gone)\u201d.
