FOXBOROUGH, MA – As the new NFL season begins, many surprises have come from various teams training camps. Some squads appear more prepared than others. There are quarterback controversies and many veterans have been cut. There have been players who did not perform up to expectations and others who have exceeded them. However, there is widespread agreement that one of the best training camp exhibitions of the year was put on by New England Patriot Quarterback Tom Brady’s legal team.
“Training camp always produces a few surprise winners,” said NFL analyst Carl Fitzpatrick. “But this years winners really shone like bright shiny stars. The Tom Brady Legal team came into camp with a seemingly impossible task, and left camp as champions. It’s the stuff dreams are made of. When the time comes, I think the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton will be packed full of fans when this legal team is inducted.”
Experts say that the legal team prepared for their victorious training camp for months. “They did their homework,” said Fitzpatrick. “Gone are the days when lawyers come into training camp without being in shape and ready to go. Today, they arrive fully in shape and ready to take on their tasks at hand. Tom Brady’s legal team worked hard in the months prior to camp on various briefs and motions. They also spent many hours preparing themselves not to giggle every time someone said the phrase ‘deflated balls’ while in court. Not an easy task.”
The legal team’s excellent training camp, which resulted in Tom Brady’s four game suspension being lifted, will go down in NFL history as one for other legal teams to try and emulate. “Sure, Ray Lewis’ legal team had some great days,” said NFL historian Jeffery Cook. “But these guys really take the cake. I think that future legal teams are going to watch their game film and be amazed. They’ll use it to fire themselves up, like a speech from Vince Lombardi, except with a lot more Latin legal terms.”
